₵55.00
A delightful tale of a cocky young rooster who feels threatened by his own reflection.
Koku the Cockerel lives in Adabraka with Baby Hajia’s family. He’s feared by all the other chickens in the neighbourhood because he has such a bad temper. He’s very proud too and the two hens Batan and Batan Pa are always talking about how he will end up.
Find out how Koku does end up in this interesting story set right in the heart of the city of Accra.

I have never called myself a writer. I would rather describe myself as an emerging writer. It makes me feel less pressured and with room for growth and improvement. But by God’s grace I have been able to put a few books under my belt. My children’s books – ‘Dokono the Donkey’, ‘Koku the Cockerel’, and the ‘Yum Yum Bully Boy’. My collection of short stories, ‘I Have Time and Other Short Stories’ won the Ama Ata Aidoo Award in 2018. In 2018, my commissioned children’s book ‘The Kente Curtain’ was launched. In the pipeline are two more children’s stories ‘Dear Kweku’ and ‘Kumasi to London’ as well as my first ever cookbook – ‘Kelewele’.
