Job Title: Social Media Marketer 

Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and driven Social Media Marketer to manage our publishing firm’s social media presence. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to promote our authors, books, and literary events, while also engaging with our community of readers, writers, and literary influencers. The ideal candidate is passionate about books and storytelling, and has the ability to create engaging content that drives brand awareness and increases book sales.

Key Responsibilities:
Create Social Media Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to promote books, authors, and events on social media platforms.
Content Creation: Write posts, create images or videos, and share updates about book releases, events, and author news.
Run Campaigns: Plan social media campaigns for book launches and other promotions.
Engage with Followers: Respond to comments, start conversations, and build a community of readers and authors.
Collaborate with Influencers: Work with book bloggers, reviewers, and influencers to help spread the word about our titles.
Track Performance: Monitor and report on social media engagement and performance, making recommendations for improvement.
Support Authors: Help authors with their social media presence by providing guidance on how to engage with their audience
Collaborative Work: Coordinate with the marketing, editorial, and sales teams to ensure social media strategies align with overall company goals and campaigns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in preferably Humanities and Social Sciences with a focus on Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Publishing Studies
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging, creative, and concise content.
Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) and their algorithms.
Ability to manage multiple social media accounts and meet deadlines.
Passion for books, literature, and the publishing industry.
Basic graphic design skills (experience with Canva or Adobe Photoshop is a plus).

Job Summary:

We are looking for a self-led National Service Person to join our marketing team as a Marketing Assistant. This role will involve assisting in promoting our publications, coordinating marketing campaigns, and engaging with our audience through various channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns for book launches, author promotions and other publishing projects.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and opportunities for expanding the reach of our publications.
  • Support the sales team in coordinating distribution strategies and maintaining relationships with bookstores and distributors.
  • Help organize events such as book signings, launches, and literary festivals.
  • Collaborate with authors, editors, and designers to create promotional materials (flyers, brochures, banners, etc.)
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and provide feedback for optimization.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss campaign ideas, progress, and results.
  • Handle other marketing-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in preferably Humanities and Social Sciences with a focus on Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Publishing Studies
  • Passion for books.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
