Elliot Agyare is a seasoned entrepreneur and a leading figure in Ghana’s publishing industry. As the founder and CEO of Smartline Publishers Ltd., he has played a pivotal role in advancing the quality and accessibility of locally produced educational materials. With a passion for education and personal development, Elliot transitioned from a successful graphic design career to establish Smartline Limited in 1996. Under his leadership, the company has grown from modest beginnings to become a major player in Ghana’s literary scene, embracing both traditional and digital publishing. Elliot also served as the president of the Ghana Book Publishers’ Association, contributing his expertise to the broader educational and publishing sectors in the country. He is the current president of the Commonwealth Book Publishers Association and the vice-chair of the Ghana Book Trust.
