Adwoe Baddoe

Badoe writes for children and young adults. She is also a storyteller who has written, produced and recorded works for stage, such as The Griot’s Journey (DVD), Song of Wagadu: Song of Africa (CD), Fighting For their Freedom: Richard Pierpoint and the Coloured Company (commissioned by the Fort York Museum). She is grateful for the Ontario Arts Council Writers Works in Progress grants for her books, "Between Sisters" and "Aluta".

 

She has been privileged to speak and perform internationally at many conferences and festivals of literature. Badoe enjoys visiting schools to share her stories and books.
